Hangzhou transportation planning and Design Institute, established in September 1984, is a public institution specialized in the development, transfer, consultation, service of Transportation Engineering (highway and water transportation) technology, as well as the research and planning of industry development policies. It is subordinate to Hangzhou Transportation Bureau. At present, it has grade a design in highway industry (highway, super large bridge and super long tunnel), and grade a design in waterway industry (port and Waterway Engineering)
